Trustees

The TUMC Board of Trustee’s function is to manage the church properties, equipment, and investments for the purposes of maintaining a place for communal worship, other church and community activities, and as a base to support our mission of making disciples of Christ.

The Trustees oversee various endowment funds, the maintenance budget, and the overall maintenance and appearance of the church’s facilities, property, and vehicles. We also see to it they are properly insured and handle legal matters pertaining to them. Major examples of what we do and did during the year of 2014 are:
A) We consolidated the church’s deeds into two deeds in the proper corporate name and address.
B) Researched and changed insurance companies.
C) Sealed and striped the parking lots.
D) Re-upholstered the kneeling rail at the alter.
F) Put on three new roofs and replaced some guttering.
G) Pressure washed and painted the exteriors of the Chapel and the main buildings.

If you notice something at the church that needs our attention, please fill out a Maintenance Request Form located on the side of the mailboxes at the front office and inform one or more of the Trustees, and/or attend one of our meetings and let us know. The Trustees meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in room 130 and the door is always open to those who might like to attend.
